I just bought Casa Mendosa tortillas – how can I store them?
Muy bien, you have already completed the most important step! After buying your Casa Mendosa® Tortillas, store them in a cool, dry place such as your kitchen counter or cabinet. Once opened, use our resealable packaging to store your tortillas at room temperature…that is, if you haven’t already enjoyed the whole pack.
I need meal inspiration – how can I enjoy my tortillas?
Enjoy the Passion of Mexico for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Casa Mendosa®’s authentic tortillas can be transformed into Chicken Fajitas, Grilled Chorizo Quesadillas, or Black Bean Breakfast Tacos. Visit our Recipes page for more inspiration.
I won’t be eating my tortillas right away – can I freeze them?
With so many great Recipes, we don’t know how you could still have leftover Casa Mendosa® Tortillas. If you will not be enjoying your tortillas immediately, you can freeze them in your sealed bag. Once ready to enjoy again, remove from freezer and defrost on your counter for 3-4 hours.
My tortillas are stuck together in the bag – how do I separate them?
¡Ay, ay, ay! If your tortillas appear to be stuck together in the bag, try rolling and folding the bag of tortillas before opening. The tortillas should loosen up and peel apart more easily for you to enjoy.
My tortillas are tearing when I roll or fold them – what can I do?
¡Ay caramba! Ensure your tortillas are kept in the sealed bag and used before the best before date on pack. For an improved eating experience, warm up the tortillas before use on a skillet or in the microwave.Stovetop Instructions: Heat tortillas on an ungreased skillet over medium-high heat for 10 to 15 seconds, flip and heat for another 5 to 10 seconds.Microwave Instructions: Place tortillas between two damp paper towels. Microwave for 30 seconds or until heated through.
