Apple Salsa with Cinnamon Chips.
INGREDIENTS.
FOR THE SALSA:2 medium tart apples, chopped1 cup (240ml) strawberries, chopped2 medium kiwi fruit, peeled and chopped1 small orange, zested, juiced2 tbsp. (30ml) brown sugar2 tbsp. (30ml) apple jelly, meltedFOR THE CHIPS:8 Casa Mendosa® Original Medium Tortillas1 tbsp. (15ml) water¼ cup (60ml) sugar2 tsp. (10ml) ground cinnamon.
INSTRUCTIONS.
FOR THE SALSA:In a bowl combine apples, strawberries, kiwi, 1.5 teaspoons (7.5ml) orange zest, orange juice, brown sugar, and jelly.Set salsa aside to serve.FOR THE CHIPS:Preheat oven to 400ᵒF (204ᵒC).Brush Casa Mendosa® Original Medium Tortillas lightly with water.In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon.Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mixture over tortillas.Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges.On an ungreased baking sheet place tortilla wedges in a single layer.Bake for 6-8 minutes or until lightly browned.Let cool and serve with salsa.
