Armenian Style Pizza

  • 1lb ground beef and 1 lbs. ground lamb
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 8oz cherry tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can tomato paste (6oz)
  • 2 jalapenos, sliced and seeded
  • ¼ cup minced parsley
  • 1 tbsp. harissa chili paste
  • 1 tbsp. red wine
  • 1 tbsp. ground sumac
  • ¼ tsp. salt and pepper
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 medium lemon, cut in wedges
  • Cooking spray

  • Preheat your oven to 450F
  • Bring a large pan to medium heat, adding in onions, cherry tomatoes, chopped green pepper and ground beef. Stirring the mixture until the beef is cooked through.
  • In a small bowl, add tomato paste, jalapenos, parsley, chili paste, red wine, sumac, salt, pepper and cinnamon stirring until combined. Add the sauce to you meet mixture lowering the heat and letting it simmer.
  • While the meet is simmering brush or spray tortillas lightly with oil and place on a non-stick baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 450F for 4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy around the edges.
  • Add warm meat mixture evenly on top of each tortilla. Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy!
