Tortilla Wreath

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F
  • Line large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place shredded chicken into a large bowl; adding onion, red bell pepper, jalapeno and taco sauce. Mix well to combine.
  • Cut each tortilla in half and place 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture with 4 tablespoons of Monterey Jack cheese on one half of each tortilla.
  • Roll each tortilla into cones.
  • Place a jar in the center of a the lined baking sheet.
  • Place the first layer of stuffed tortillas around the jar to create a wreath-like shape. The points of the cones should be touching the jar.
  • Sprinkle cheese over each cone layer and repeat the process until you have used the remaining tortillas.
  • Remove the jar from the baking sheet before placing in the oven.
  • Bake the wreath for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown.
  • Once cooled, carefully transfer the blooming quesadilla to a serving platter.
  • Serve with your favourite dipping sauce. We recommend salsa or guacamole.
