Quesadilla Burger

Serves 4 / 20 min


  • Casa Mendosa® Original Medium Tortillas
  • 1 lb. of lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheese
  • 4 tbsp. of mayonnaise
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of sweet onion, chopped.
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • optional: coriander or parsley to garnish

Total Time: 10 minutes

  • Place the ground beef in a bowl and season with salt & pepper.
  • Separate the meat into 4 balls.
  • Place a tortilla on a flat surface, adding the meatball to the center of the tortilla.
  • Gently, press the meatball down until is a flat burger that lines the edges of the tortilla.
  • Place a large frying pan on the stove over high heat.
  • Once, the frying pan is hot lower to medium heat before placing the tortilla in the frying pan meat side down.
  • Leave in the pan for about 5 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.
  • Remove the tortilla from the pan and place on a plate.
  • Add mayonnaise, tomato, onion and cheese.
  • Fold the tortilla in half and place back in the heated pan to get brown and crispy. Repeat this for the rest of your tortillas.
  • Garnish, serve, and enjoy!
